Design That Actually Looks Good on Product
A lot of merch looks great on a screen and disappointing in person. We design the other kind. At Huge Brands, our design team specializes in artwork built specifically for merchandise — graphics that translate cleanly onto apparel, accessories, packaging, and more, at any size.
Whether you're starting with a blank page or a full brand guide, we'll meet you where you are and build something worth wearing.
What We Offer
Two Ways to Work With Us
We know every client comes in differently. Some have a brand identity locked in and just need someone who knows how to apply it to product. Others are starting from scratch and need the whole picture. We do both — and everything in between.
Starting from scratch — If you have a vision but no artwork, our designers will develop original graphics, custom illustrations, and product concepts built around your brand, your audience, and your goals. No templates. No clip art.
Building on your assets — If you already have logos, brand colors, or existing artwork, we'll adapt and extend them for merchandise in a way that feels cohesive and intentional — not just a logo slapped on a blank.
Who We Design For
Great Design for Every Kind of Brand
Gift Shops & Retailers — We design products that earn their shelf space. Location-specific artwork, seasonal collections, and exclusive graphics that give customers a reason to buy.
Resorts & Venues — Your location has a story. We turn it into merchandise — original illustrations, maps, icons, and imagery that feel specific to your place, not generic tourist fare.
Brands & Creators — Whether you're dropping a limited-run collab or building out a full product line, we move fast and design with your audience in mind.
HR & Corporate Teams — We design swag people actually want to keep. That means thoughtful graphics, quality product selection, and a result that reflects your company culture rather than undermining it.
How the Design Process Works
From Brief to Final Artwork
-
Brief & Discovery — We start with a conversation. What's the product? Who's it for? What feeling should it create? We gather your brand assets, references, and any direction you have.
-
Concept Development — Our team develops initial design concepts based on your brief. We present options, not just one direction, so you have room to react and redirect.
-
Revisions — We refine based on your feedback until the artwork is right. No rushed handoffs.
-
Production-Ready Files — Final files are prepared and optimized for the specific production method — screen printing, embroidery, sublimation, whatever the product calls for.
FAQ Section
Custom Merch Design FAQs
Do I need to have my own artwork or logo ready? No. We can build everything from scratch if needed — original illustrations, typography, graphic treatments, all of it. If you do have existing brand assets, we'll work with them and extend them for product.
What file formats do you need if I'm providing my own assets? Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are ideal, but we can often work with high-resolution raster files as well. We'll let you know upfront if anything needs to be recreated or refined for production.
How many design concepts will I see? We typically present multiple initial directions so you have something to react to. The number of rounds of revision depends on your project scope — we'll align on that before we start.
Can you design for specific print or production methods? Yes, and this is actually an important part of what we do. We design with production in mind, which means artwork is optimized for the specific method — whether that's screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, sublimation, or something else.
Is design included in the merch program, or is it a separate service? Design is a core part of our end-to-end merch programs, but we also offer design as a standalone service if you're sourcing production elsewhere. Get in touch and we'll figure out what makes sense for your situation.
